WIM California Chapter is composed of individuals employed in, associated with, or interested in the mining industry. The organization is NOT limited to women only. An annual charity golf tournament and scholarship program on an annual basis, and we have a number of events throughout the year.
Our Mission
The WIM California Chapter is dedicated to brining a greater appreciation of the value of minerals to young people, communities, and our colleagues in the mining industry.
Who We Are
Founded in 1990, WIM California Chapter is above all else, an educational group. We are women and men. We are engineers, geologists, miners, office workers, educators, concerned citizens and others who are part of the mining industry. Many WIM members are business and civic leaders extending their influence and expertise into their local communities. Such varied backgrounds are extremely beneficial to the organization and members are encouraged to share this expertise and experience both formally and informally.
In addition to providing valuable educational benefits, the WIM organization offers members an opportunity to become acquainted and work with others involved in the mining industry and thereby acquire new personal and professional contacts.
